HEALTH UPDATE AUTUMN 2025 It is with a heavy heart that I must close the studio permanently after Christmas. Having been diagnosed with secondary breast cancer over the summer (having had primary breast cancer in 2012 and again in 2020), I’m unfortunately left with no alternative - I thank the landlord greatly for helping to find a new tenant so that I can be released from the remainder of my lease (so if you do know anyone, please let me know!).

I have already started on a palliative treatment plan and am managing the side effects pretty well. Rest assured any bookings already in the diary until the end of 2025 will be honoured and I am still actively taking bookings until then. I will be running workshops over October half term and I will definitely be laying on some pre-Christmas workshops.

Next year I will continue my work in schools, for Hay Festival, for Malvern Three Counties and for the many external bookings I get for as long as I am physically able, which I hope will be a good few years - my energy reserves are somewhat compromised so I am having to pace myself and for those who know me well will understand this is the biggest challenge of all.

But, despite it all, as the glorious souls who join me can see, it’s ‘business as usual’. So come see me, come create with me - help me to end the studio chapter with joy and happiness of everything I’ve achieved here rather than dwell on the sadness that I’ve got to close the door on the physical space that embodies all that I hold dear. Art Studio Ross will continue at external events - so chat to your PTFA’s, your Art Co-ordinators and your events organisers and book me in 2026 because I certainly still have plenty creative confidence to bestow and an abundance of workshop ideas to try before I have to throw in the towel xx

Love to you all, thank you for being my strength
